If you live in the digital world, you might already know that Adobe® is a creative industry standard when it comes to software. You might also know that Adobe Photoshop® is the one of the more popular programs, generally used for editing photography, creating digital assets, and optimizing images for the web. If you’re looking to pick up a new creative hobby, break into the field, or are just curious to know how the magic happens, you’ll benefit to learn a thing or two from this Photoshop 101 lesson.

In this post, I’ll be providing a high-level overview of Adobe Photoshop® CC and some of its features. I’ll cover topics such as how to resize images, change color modes and pick color values, use adjustment layers with masks, and save files.

Behind the Screens: Evolution of a Brand

Much like any brand, Graydient Creative didn’t happen overnight. Originating as the internal web team for Marcus Hotels & Resorts, the group recently celebrated the 10-year anniversary of a holiday we’ve named “Seed Day” on July 25th. This very special day commemorates the hire of leader Shawn Spartz, thus planting the seed that would later bloom into Graydient Creative.

Social Media is constantly evolving. From 2007 when it first came to the forefront and your Facebook status looked similar to a diary entry, to 2017 where social media has its own set of unspoken rules and has essentially become an everyday part of life.

In a time when so many people are questioning what’s real and what’s not on social media; it’s more important than ever for the food on your website’s social media to resemble what will be arriving on your guest’s plate. How many times have you seen an ad on a commercial where the food look so appetizing it made your mouth water, but when you arrive at the restaurant, all you see is a dull piece of meat paired with old French fries.

It is understandable to want your food to look the part in front of the camera, but at what point can your guest’s be able to call it false advertising?
